ABOUT MARLENE PROST
Marlene Anne Prost was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and grew up in Hartford and West Hartford, Connecticut. Her intended career was psychology. She acquired her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania then continued her education by getting her Master’s in psychology from Temple University. But her heart drew her to writing.
At the age of 25, Marlene was a journalist and worked as a daily newspaper reporter and editor. After her sons, Alex and Eric, were born, she became a freelance magazine writer as well as an editor and copywriter on numerous freelance projects.
Throughout her life, creative writing has been Marlene’s passion. She connected with other writers at the Northwest Writers Group, which met from 1999-2022, and has belonged to the Bucks County Writers Workshop. Marlene has written many short stories primarily focused on relationships, obsession, religion, and love. The result is her first collection of short stories, Lilith and Other Love Stories, published on Amazon.com on June 1, 2024.
